The Michigan American Pit Bull Terrier Club (MAPBTC) is
a United Kennel Club (UKC) licensed association. Our membership
is very passionate about promoting the positive image
of the American Pit Bull Terrier and getting the truth
out there. With the negative way that the APBT is portrayed
by the media, it sometimes feels like we are fighting
a never-ending battle. Our loyal and courageous little
dogs inspire us to be worthy of their devotion, and therefore,
we keep trying. Our membership is comprised of members
that own various dog breeds and are located throughout
Michigan, as well as in other states. Each of our members
brings their own unique qualities to our club, which helps
us to function as efficiently as possible.
The MAPBTC hosts three conformation events each year,
one in February,
one in May, and
one in September.
We have big plans for 2009 as we will be getting involved
in many other important areas related to dog ownership,
the fight against Breed Specific Legislation,
and promoting the breed that we love so much. Please check
back often to learn more about these activities.
